Art Deco Sapphire and Diamond Cluster Ring

Sapphire And Diamond Cluster Yellow Gold And Platinum Ring. 

Art Deco circa 1930. 18 carat yellow gold and platinum set marked  18 CT PLAT .  Claw set with a circular cut Natural mid blue sapphire. Complemented by an outer cluster of eight old cut diamonds.

Total diamond content measures approximately .50 carat. Diamonds H Colour, VS Clarity. Sapphire measures approximately .50 carat. Diamonds and sapphire are all claw set. Pierced out gallery.  Knife edge shoulders.  Plain band shank.

To the reverse the sapphire and diamonds are set into open backed settings, this allows the light to shine through.

The head of the ring measures approximately 11 mm across.

This would make a beautiful engagement or dress ring and be sure to attract plenty of attention.
