At Friar House we operate from a high street shop in Battle which is a small town in East Sussex, England. The shop is one of the oldest in Battle and dates to 1642 but is thought to be medieval.

We specialize in art deco jewelry and antique engagement rings. Each piece is individually hand-picked by the owners.

Victoria has been dealing in antique jewelry for more than 30 years and has bought and sold to individuals and trade customers around the world, particularly in the UK and USA. She has personally built a renowned reputation for trust and integrity.

More than ever people are interested in antique jewelry due to its sustainability, the very nature of antiques means they have been pre worn and preloved rather than brand new.

All pieces we sell are one of a kind, fine examples and are professionally cleaned, polished, tested and checked by a specialist workshop before being photographed, carefully, realistically, and accurately described before being listed on the website.

Victoria has exhibited jewelry at important trade shows in America including Miami, Las Vegas, New York and Baltimore.

She is passionate about giving good customer service which is the bedrock to our business, and we provide a premium level of care regardless of the cost of the item being bought.

Each item is carefully wrapped and packaged in Friar House branded gift boxes giving the recipient the feel of the personal service and attention to detail they would receive if they visited the shop itself.

Battle is home to the famous 1066 Battlefield and abbey which was purchased for the, nation by some generous American benefactors in 1976.
